More Dissapointing Results From Clickbank
By admin on Apr 4, 2008 in Affiliate Marketing
Sometimes I look at the huge amount of products on Clickbank, there’s so many of them that they seemingly reach almost every niche imaginable, and I get really excited about the possibilities. I start hatching big ideas on how to take advantage of it as an affiliate marketer. I start thinking about the thousands of dollars per day I’m going to be making soon if I just find the “secret” to making it big with Clickbank. And part of me still thinks that even after being a Clickbank affiliate for 3 years.
But then I look at results like I’ve had from the past 3 days. From April 2 to April 4 (today’s not done yet, it’s 7:13 PM as I write this) I’ve had 585 hops (that’s Clickbank’s word for clicks) and ZERO sales. Pretty nice conversion rate eh? So yeah, I’m pretty frustrated with Clickbank at the moment. It’s surely not the first time and it won’t be the last. And I know it’s a waste of time to get frustrated with the daily ups and downs (I’ve written a post about that before) but it’s still hard not to get annoyed with those sorts of results.
For a comparison’s sake:
Last week (March 24-30) I had 1,449 hops and 11 sales. That’s a 1 in 131 conversion ratio. I can’t say I’m really satisfied with 1/131 either but it’s better than 0/585.

You’re not alone my friend. I typically average 3 - 5 sales a day, but I received 0 sales on both April 1st and 4th. Oddly enough, April 3rd was a record day for me!?!
There has to be some tracking issues going on with hoplinks these days. Fluctuation is expected…but 0 sales is an inciator of bigger problems.

After I made this post I finally started to see some sales come in with clickbank. In fact I have 3 clickbank sales today in 174 hops. That’s a far more reasonable conversion ratio, thank you!
