Linx Boss Link Building Service
By MMJ admin on Dec 3, 2010 in SEO
I’m always looking for new ways to build links, especially ways that don’t take as much effort as my #1 method for the past couple of years (article marketing.)
Unfortunately most of the services I have tried out have been duds. But after reading some pretty great reviews for Linx Boss, I’ve decided to give it a go. And as you would probably expect if you’ve read this blog before, I plan on testing the service and posting my results here.
What Linx Boss Offers
For $147/month they build links for up to five different domains in a “hands free” sort of way. It’s a “set it and forget it” type of system and that’s really why it appeals to me because as effective as I find services like Unique Article Wizard, Article Marketing Automation, and ArticleRanks to be (and I very strongly recommend them) I do find the whole article marketing process a bit tedious and I’ve never been able to successfully outsource it at a price I’m willing to pay. Basically I want to build more links without having to spend more time on building those links and I’m hoping Linx Boss does this for me.
The Details
They claim to build 1000 unique anchor text links each month spread out over the five domains that are put in the system (200 for each domain.) You can use four different anchor texts for each target (this helps your incoming links look more “natural” to the search engines and can also help you to target multiple keyword phrases for the same page.)
Each domain can have an unlimited amount of pages added so you can do deep linking. You could have your 200 links for your domain spread out over 200 different pages (1 link per domain per month.) Of course you wouldn’t want to spread your links that thin, but you could.
L4L
As a part of the LinxBoss system (at no additional cost) they also build links for your other links (“links 4 links”) that you’ve built up in the past (or that you build now.) This is really a powerful addition and not something I even realized was a part of the system when I joined. Pretty cool.
Tracking
Another part of the Linx Boss service is their Tracking system which is pretty darn sweet. It tracks your ranks in both Google and Yahoo/Bing for all of the keywords that you target. It also tells you important information about those keywords: competition level, monthly search volume, and how much people are willing to spend on buying clicks through AdWords (which gives you a very good idea of how profitable this keyword can be.)
My Results?
You can follow my results with this system in the comments below. I’ll be adding comments on my results as they come in.
My Five Domains
These are the sites I’m putting into the system to test LinxBoss.com (and to hopefully get some money making results!) I’m including their current basic “stats” so you can see where I started from (I’ll be including updates on how it’s going in the comments.)
Domain #1
This website is in the travel niche. It currently has a PageRank of 1 and 166 incoming external links (according to Yahoo Site Explorer.) For it’s primary keyword target it has a ranking of #27 in Yahoo/Bing and it’s not in the top 100 in Google. The domain was registered in 2006 so it’s been a sort of “back burner” project. I have a lot of these; Domains with not much going on that I figure I will eventually get to doing something with! The search engines tend to like older domains and they are pretty cheap to keep around.
Domain #2
This one is in the celebrity news niche. It has a PageRank of 3 and 4,851 external links. It’s #8 in Yahoo and #10 in Google for it’s primary target. It was registered in 2007.
Domain #3
This website is in the health niche. It has a PageRank of 2 and 1,085 external links. It’s #46 in Google for its primary KW target, not in the top 100 in Yahoo. It was registered in 2006.
Domain #4
Entertainment niche. PageRank of 0 (but it is indexed in Google) and 379 external links. It’s #6 in Yahoo for it’s primary KW target and not in top 100 in Google. Registered in January of 2008.
Domain #5
For my 5th domain I am going to use EZineArticles.com – here I’m going to be trying to get higher rankings (and the resultant traffic) for some of my EZA articles. I’m going to be splitting my 200 links here between four different EZA articles (That’s 50 for each.)
EZA #1 — Health niche. Currently ranked #17 on Google and #27 on Yahoo for it’s primary long tail target keyword. Not in top 100 for the dream shorter tail KW.
EZA #2 — Entertainment niche. #11 on Google and unranked on Yahoo for it’s primary long tail target keyword.
EZA #3 — Home/DIY niche. Unranked for it’s primary KW.
EZA #4 — Fitness niche. Currently ranked #11 on Yahoo and #13 on Google for it’s target.
Go to LinxBoss.com to check it out for yourself.

BTW – if you found this page in the search engines looking for “Linx Boss” then that’s proof of the effectiveness of my article marketing system ( you can find the step by step system I use in this post: http://www.moneymakerjobs.com/seolinkvine/206/ ) because I am linking to this page using my article marketing services.

I’m already seeing some interesting results… For example with Domain #3 I’ve gone from #46 to #35 in Google for my primary target keyword.
I also have a secondary target KW for that domain I have positive movement with…

Well this is turning out to be pretty good proof of how well article marketing works… just two articles with links to this URL (and only half of the second batch of articles included the URL) and this page is already #5 for the search term LINX BOSS on Google

Some results from Domain #1:
gone from 166 links to 200 on yahoo site explorer…
from #27 to #14 for the primary keyword on Yahoo/Bing
still unranked in Google for the main keyword but has gone from #83 to #55 for a secondary KW (linx boss has really great tracking)

Update on Domain #3:
Up from #46 to #22 on Google for its main keyword which is quite exciting as I think this KW could be a big moneymaker (it has 368K searches/month according to Linx Boss — one of the nice bonuses of the tracking system is how it gives details on any keywords that you target … including how many people search for the KW and how much people are spending on pay per click ads)

Domain #2 is still at #10 on Google for its main KW but it has moved from #8 to #5 in Yahoo.
Also it’s up to #2 on Google for its secondary (longer tail) KW (up from #4)

I’m definitely pleased with the results I’m seeing for less than two weeks… Very good.

I’ve decided to switch out Domain #1 for a different one (in the health niche) … just because I decided this other domain is more important right now.
~~~
Update on Domain #3 … up from #22 (on Dec. 16th) to #18 on Google for its primary keyword.
~~~
Update on Domain #2 … up from #10 to #9 for it’s primary keyword on Google… and up to #1 on Yahoo! (started at #8)
~~~
Update on Domain #4 … up from unranked to #3 (!!!) for it’s primary keyword. Unfortunately I’m finding out through a lack of traffic for it that not many people actually seem to search for this keyword (despite the monthly volume supposedly being 8,100) … that’s the most frustrating thing… when you take the time to rank for something and then find out no one really searches for it. I’ve had that happen a few times.
Still going from unranked to #3 in less than a month is pretty damn impressive.
Overall I think these are really great results for less than a month – also I am splitting my links up between multiple pages… if I were to focus my energy I’d probably be getting even better results.
I just added on my second set of 5 additional domains… I’m now at 15 domains in the system. I think this gives you a very good indication that I’m happy with the service.
You shouldn’t expect it to be a miracle worker… it won’t get you to rank #1 for a really competitive KW all on it’s own. But it can do that for non competitive KW… and it can definitely help (along with other methods) for more competitive KWs.
I just love that it works on “auto.” It’s a huge time saver. Worth the cash investment.
Update: I’ve now got 25 domains in the LinxBoss system.
It seems to work best on sites that already have some age/power/quality content.
