Link Building Experiment

Which of these will help me build the most links with one submission? I’ve just put up a series of landing pages to test this and I’ll be sending out the submissions (for each) tomorrow. I’ve fixed the issue with my last test (ie: I’m using no EZineArticles landers) so I should have no problems reporting on the link creation of each of these services.

I’ll be using each of these with just one submission (with article submission services, it’s obvious what that means, with the others – I’ll explain) which links to a specific landing page which I’m not linking to otherwise. On a side note: I’m using Magic Article Rewriter with almost all of these (except for ISnare which requires longer articles and no spinning, I write unique articles from scratch for it.) I find it really saves me a lot of time.

These are the seven systems I’m testing:

(1) Unique Article Wizard. This is the front-runner at the moment as I’ve been more and more impressed by this service the more I use it. I think I’m just starting to see how well it can work, so that’s very exciting.

(2) SENUKE. This is definitely extremely powerful software but there’s a learning curve that I’m still dealing with. I think it’s a matter of learning how to use it correctly so that’s what I’m trying to do now. One great thing is that there’s a forum just for users of this software and there’s a lot of helpful advice there. When I say “one submission” with this I mean one web 2.0 + article submission. I then social bookmark my web 2.0 and article submissions. I’ll also social bookmark my lander itself.  I am not using the profile generator module as I’ve heard mixed things about it and it seems a bit too “spammy” to get down with. Too “black hat” for my taste, so I don’t do it.

(3) Article Marketing Automation. I’ve been seeing a lot of nice results with this too. And it’s easier to use (and less expensive) in comparison to UAW. Really I wouldn’t want to choose between AMA & UAW, they are both a basic part of my link building strategy at this poin. And now that I’m using Magic Article Rewriter I can really just write one article and spit it with that software and submit via all of my article distribution services (all of them that use spinning that is…. which is all of them except ISnare.)

(4) Article Ranks. This one hasn’t been tested nearly as much as AMA & UAW so far but I am seeing some nice early results from it. I can’t recommend it as confidently as those two, but I do think it’s worth having as a part of my link building system. As I get more test results I may be able to recommend it more strongly.

(5) Free Traffic System. I’m still really in testing stages with this, I’m not sure how well it works yet. I already bought a lifetime pro membership (sort of a rushed decision on that, actually.) But the cool thing is, you can actually try it out completely for free so if you don’t have a lot of money then this is probably a good choice for you.

(6) ISnare. This is a simple system. No spinning. It just submits your articles to lots of high quality article directories. I actually experience a nice amount of direct traffic from these articles because they are actually sent to sites that can rank. That’s a nice bonus. I also haven’t really noticed much of an issue with duplicate content, in fact I’ve done so well with this without spinning that it makes me question how big of an issue duplicate content really is… but I still play the spinning game anyway, just to be on the safe side. One thing I like about ISnare is that by paying per article submission, it’s actually easily the least expensive of these systems (because there’s only so many articles I can do in a month!)

(7) The Link Juicer. I’m still in testing with this, I’m not yet sure how well it works and this experiment will be a part of me figuring that out! The cool thing about this system is that once you submit with it, it just continues to build links (and build links to your links) continually on auto-pilot.

THE RESULTS?

Where can you see the results? Check back. I’ll be posting them in the comments.

  2. Care to report your progress? Is this also your best month ever in affiliate earnings?:)

  3. It takes awhile to get any kind of accurate idea of how many links are being created…

    But these are the results external links (as shown by Yahoo Site Explorer) results thus far:

    SENUKE – 1 (indexed in Google)
    UAW – 8 (indexed in Google)
    FTS – 4 (NOT indexed in Google)
    ArticleRanks – 7 (indexed in Google)
    AMA – 5 (indexed in Google)
    ISnare – 0 (indexed in Google)
    The Link Juicer – 0 (NOT indexed in Google)
    Article Slingshot – 0 (NOT indexed in Google)

    I added Article Slingshot to the test…

    ISnare always starts slow because it takes a long time before the article is finally submitted.

    The results so far haven’t been so great, but like I said – it takes awhile to get a real idea… link building/SEO takes patience.

    And no, this is not my biggest money making month ever – I think September ’09 may be hard for me to beat for quite some time. That was a killer month for me!

  4. Update on amount of external links showing up in Yahoo Site Explorer:

    SENUKE = 2
    UAW = 14
    FTS = 15 (it’s now indexed in Google)
    Article Ranks = 10
    AMA = 4
    ISnare = 13
    Link Juicer = 2 (still not indexed in G…)
    Article Slingshot = 0 (still not indexed in G…)

    FTS has really surprised me… I was actually getting really irritated with that site because I don’t like the way you have to choose (and then “re-choose”) blogs but… if it gives me results like this, then I’ll deal with it.

    I’m also surprised at AMA, but in a bad way. It seems my article distributions on there have slowed down and this appears to be evidence of that.

    Strong showing from UAW, but that’s what I expect from UAW. It’s a great service and it always does consistently well in these tests.

    Link Juicer & Article Slingshot are definitely trying my patience. I’m strongly considering cutting my ties with both of ‘em.

    How about SENuke? It’s the most expensive system on here and the results from it have been less than stellar. But it should but noted that this isn’t really what SENuke is designed to do. It’s more helpful for creating web 2.0 landers than for creating links on it’s own. I still think SENuke is a powerful piece of software, it’s just a matter of using it in the right way.

  5. Update on external inlinks:

    ISnare – 23
    FTS – 18
    LJ – 15 (not indexed by Google)
    AR – 13
    UAW – 8
    AMA – 4
    SENUKE – 1
    AS – 1 (not indexed by Google)

    Link Juicer’s 15 may appear impressive until you see the page isn’t even indexed by Google. A look at the incoming links from LJ shows them to be of extremely low quality. I’ve actually cancelled my LJ membership.

    I’m also no longer using SENUKE or Article Slingshot. SENUKE could be a valuable piece of software but I really don’t feel like bothering with it. It’s one of those things where it’s supposed to save you time but it seems to actually waste more of my time than anything else.

    Article Slingshot just seems to be pretty much worthless.

    ISnare is the big winner here and I’m also impressed with FTS & AR. I’m a bit disappointed in UAW & AMA but… I think it’s a mistake to get overly concerned about it… I’ve had great results with them in other tests.
