I’ve completed only 4 of the 16 blog posts I initially intended to do as I’ve been very side tracked by other things.

I’ve completed (and submitted) 20 of the 80 articles I intended to do.

As an affiliate I’ve made $186 from those 20 articles so far (obviously I’ve made more than that since I’m the publisher as well but I want to focus on what I’m making as an affiliate because that will be your situation if you promote my product through EZineArticles.)

Considering that those articles can continue making me money until EZineArticles no longer exists that’s pretty darn good.

I’m going to try and get back on the horse with this experiment and write some more articles as it has been proven to me to be worth doing. Imagine if I had 400 articles instead of 20? That may sound like a lot but if you 10 articles a day for a couple of months you’d be there, probably making a healthy daily income.

Also the more articles you write that link back to your site, the better your site will rank in the search engines so there’s a bit of momentum you can build by writing tons of articles.

The site that I link to now has all 4 of it’s pages indexed in Google. The homepage has a PR of 1 and one of the other pages has a PR 1. That being said, I’m getting very little search traffic (but I am getting some.) Most of the traffic I get to the site is directly from EZineArticles.

I will update the DP forum thread as soon as my ban wears off (November 25.) And yes, I got banned for something I said in the politics section of the forum, although I’m not sure exactly what.

I have been very distracted by the election and by moving and by a lot of other projects (mostly BANS/EBay stuff as that’s been really working for me lately.)

I’m really just now starting to put more effort into the eBay affiliate program - BANS makes it easy to set up a profitable eBay affiliate store. Then it’s up to you as an internet marketer to get people to that store. The stores definitely convert and bring in money (particularly if you spend a little time making them look nice.)

I obviously highly recommend buying BANS - it’s well worth the price tag. I’ve made my money back many times over since I bought it.

Overall my earnings are up this month and I’m on pace to have my best month of the year. I’m feeling good about things including the future of the country as a whole because of the great victory for America on November 4th.

Definitely an improvement over last time and I do think I’m seeing some decent income from these articles although it’s very difficult for me to pinpoint exactly where my sales come from in a lot of cases.

I’m going to set a goal of 200 new articles just like I did last month. Maybe I’ll actually reach it this time.

I had days like that in October too (in fact I had one over $400.)  Earnings for me fluctuate pretty wildly because I promote some products with big payouts but that doesn’t make it any less groovy when it happens. I just need “big days” like these to happen more often!

First of all, as far as Clickbank goes, I finished the month with just $622 net profit as a CB affiliate. I’m certain that’s my lowest figure this year. But the news is actually much worse than that. Because as of the first 7 days of this month I was at $462 profit. In otherwords the last 23 days I’ve made just $160 as a CB affiliate. That’s just shockingly bad.

Look at these numbers as a CB affiliate for October 8 through October 31:

4198 HOPS
14 SALES
7 REFUNDS
$160 NET SALES
3.8 CENTS PER HOP!

Of course I’m also a Clickbank publisher with my diet affiliate program.  Unfortunately that is not going well either. Net profits for the month as a publisher? $114. If you look back through this blog you’ll see that things were going much better with this earlier but the momentum is gone at the moment and I’m having a hard time getting back into it due to the lack of results I’m seeing.

I’m not really sure why things are going so horribly with Clickbank right now. Is it the economy? Is it something wrong with Clickbank themselves? I don’t know. Right now my feeling is: Work on other stuff. I just find CB too frustrating to even deal with right now. I’d rather just work on some of my other projects that have been a lot more successful lately.

One of the things that’s been working better for me lately are my eBay BANS stores. I made $529 with them this month and that’s without a ton of effort put into them. Considering how much more effort I put into CB I’m starting to think that maybe my BANS stores actually bring a better ROI. I’ll be working on tidying up my stores and getting more links to their pages this month.

Today is actually my 7th straight day without a sale.  During those 7 days I’ve had 1,129 hops. That’s right! 1,129 hops without a single sale. To get an idea of how that compares to my usual results. The first 7 days of this month (October 1 through October 7th) I had 1,444 hops (OK so I am slagging a bit on hops too) with 17 sales.

That’s going from a 1 in 85 ratio to a 0 in 1,129 ratio.

It’s hard for me to believe this is just coincidence. Needless to say Clickbank is frustrating the hell out of me right now.

The good news is that at least my CB product as (as a publisher) has made a couple of sales during these last 7 days.   During that same period it’s had 613 hops with 2 sales. OK, not good either. But at least it’s something.

As you can see from these numbers I’ve been seriously slacking as far as article submissions (and really I’ve been slacking just in general.)

I’m not going to make myself any promises about better numbers on November 3, but I do want to get back in gear with this. My goal is 200 new articles. 

My biggest earner this month was Clickbank. A lot of my energy these days is focused on making more money with CB (as an affiliate and as a vendor) but I also have a few other focuses including Adult Friend Finder which I’m starting to have some success with (and the payouts are huge - $120 per order.)

As far as my own CB product? Clearly it hasn’t “taken off” yet and my progress with it has been slow as I’ve been very distracted by other things. But I’m far from giving up on it. I still think it can be a big winner and it is bringing in some money for me already. I hope to get back on track with it soon.

It’s gravity is hovering around 5. For those of you who are curious as to how many sales that actually represents: There were a total of 16 sales of the product in September. All but one of those was made through an affiliate. Obviously there’s no direct correlation between gravity and sales as you could have a gravity of just 1 or 2 and be making thousands of sales BUT I just wanted to share some real information as I think few vendors actually share any real information.

Obviously I’m not happy with only 16 sales in September, but it could be worse.

I’d say the biggest problem for me is that since my move (and really the weeks leading up to the move) I’ve been getting very little done. I’ve just been having the hardest time focusing lately. Even my current plan isn’t very focused (it’s on about 6 or 7 things at once.) It’s hard for me as I have so many projects that look like possible winners, I have the hardest time just choosing one thing and sticking with it.

So just how bad has this week been? Monday through Friday (at 5 PM…) my earnings for the week are at just $303. Earlier this month that was more like what I was making per day rather than per 5 days! Ah. Well I’m trying to get back on target with my work and to gain some focus. Hopefully this is just a little dip. There have been some good signs this month, I just need to keep pushing on those things.

Anyway check this out: This month I’ve almost already reached $600 on AdSense. Last month I didn’t even get $400 for the entire month.  As I’ve mentioned before, AdSense has always been an afterthought for me but it is cool to actually make some decent money with it for once. I see you can make a lot of money with AdSense… if you have a lot of traffic!
