Article Ranks vs. Unique Article Wizard vs. Article Slingshot SERPS Contest

I’m using the exact same approach I used for this SERPS contest (my last post here.)

The only difference is that I’m using a different (although quite similar as far as competition) target keyword phrase (obviously, otherwise this contest would be competing directly against the last) and that I’m comparing a differetn set of article distribution services (Article Ranks vs. Unique Article Wizard vs. Article Slingshot.)

The constant is Article Ranks (it seems a good idea to have a constant for comparison’s sake.)

Why not just compete all of them against each other at once? BecauseĀ  I think it’s essential to use the same domain for a SERPS contest (I like to use EZA because the search engines like it) and only two entries are going to show up for any keyword for any particular domain. Because of that I can get a nice ranking of 1st place, 2nd place, 3rd place.

If I had 5 or 6 competing all at once I would only have 1st place and 2nd place and everything else. I suppose there’s some good value to that too, actually. And I may do a test like that in the future. But another thing to consider is it’s difficult to come up with lots of variations that focus on the same keyword phrases. Coming up with three for this is hard enough, coming up with six or seven would be really irritating.

Like with all my other article distributions I’m doing these days, I’m using Magic Article Rewriter for to write/spin my articles (I don’t use this for EZA, I write original articles from scratch for EZA because they’re more picky and I don’t want to jeopardize my account – which has over 700 articles in it!)

Note: Article Slingshot doesn’t allow for spinning.

  1. EZAs are up (there was a bit of a delay because I made an error on one of the articles that had to be corrected) and the distributions are going out today. I’ll be adding the results of this contest here in the comments in the coming weeks/months.

  2. Update:

    Google:

    #1 UAW (#18)
    #3 AR/AS (nothing)

Nothing in Yahoo or MSN/Bing yet.

It’s still very early… Also this KW phrase may be more competitive than I anticipated.

  3. Update:

    Google:

    #1 UAW (#13)
    #2/#3 AR/AS (nothing)

Still nothing in Yahoo or MSN/Bing.

I’m a bit disappointed with these results so far. #13 on Google isn’t bad but it’s a bit annoying that I’m getting no response from Yahoo & Bing after three weeks.
