Article Marketing Test Update

It’s now been more than two months since my article marketing test began. It was designed as a compare & contrast between EZineArticles.com, Submit Your Article, Article Marketing Automation, & Unique Article Wizard. I submitted one article using each article marketing system which linked back to a specific Squidoo page which I was not building links to with any other means.

As of today these are the amount of backlinks found for each (I’m using Yahoo’s Site Explorer for this information) not including internal links coming from Squidoo.com itself:

EZineArticles: 1
Submit Your Article: 5
Article Marketing Automation: 85
Unique Article Wizard: 34

Obviously AMA is the big winner here but UAW has proven itself as a valuable way of building links as well. I use EZA articles more as landing pages (since they can rank high in the search engines) than for building links so that’s only here as a comparison. I’ve been very dissapointed by the results from SYA and am likely going to cancel my membership due to this test.

Moving forward I plan on relying on Article Marketing Automation & Unique Article Wizard for building my links. I am also planning on testing ISnare which I’ve used in the past. I didn’t include it in this test as I had a lot of technical difficulties with it (I haven’t used it in awhile because of those) but it is reasonably inexpensive and I do think it’s a good idea to get links in a lot of different ways.

  1. Thanks for the sharing of the backlnks :) But what about the traffic ? Did you see a direct correlation between backlinks and traffic in your four pages ?

  2. How competitive are these backlinks? Like … do you find that you can rank well for various search terms with just the use of articles?

  3. Matt, absolutely. As you can see from my latest posts, I’m making a ton of money lately and it’s almost entirely from this strategy:

    1. Create quality content.

    2. Write decent articles.

    3. Submit decent articles via these article distribution services which link back to my quality content.
