Article Marketing Test #3
By MMJ admin on Oct 5, 2009 in Article Marketing
First an update on my last one:
Service – External Links
Article Marketer – 10
Article Marketing Automation – 12
Unique Article Wizard – 34
ISnare – 40
AMA + IS + UAW (Combo) – 57
Test #3
With article marketing test #3, I’m going to be promoting in a different niche and I’m curious to see how the results compare to the results from my first two tests. I’m also very interested to see which AMA is the real AMA? Is it the one that won test #1 easily? Or the one that struggled in test #2?
I’m probably going to be testing these four again. I am considering adding a new 5th competitor if I can find another article distribution service that looks interesting (and reputable.) I am taking suggestions.
I’m going to be using a different site for my landing pages this time (partly because Article Marketer doesn’t let me link to urls with ? in them which EZA urls contain.)
I will be using the same steps as the first two tests with one big difference. This is my usual routine:
(1) Create unique landing pages on a Web 2.0 site (such as hubpages, squidoo, etc.)
(2) Create one article with each article marketing service that links to a particular landing page.
(3) Make sure I do not build any links to that specific landing page with any other service (not even any social bookmarking.)
(4) Check back links to compare the effectiveness of each service.
What difference? I’m planning on submitting multiple articles with each service instead of just one. But it’s important to note that I will still only be linking to one specific landing page with each article submission service (to keep the test results pure.) My initial plan will be three articles each. I may decide to do more depending on how things go.

BTW, I use http://www.backlinkwatch.com/index.php for checking back links now because Yahoo Site Explorer doesn’t seem to work properly with some types of pages.

I decided I’m going to simultaneously do an article test #4 which focuses on a different niche (because results may vary based on niche…)
Test #3 will be focused in the electronics niche, while Test #4 will be focused in entertainment.

Is backlinkwatch more reliable and accurate than yahoo backlinks tool? I am very interested in seeing results of your test.

The main reason I use backlinkwatch now is because yahoo’s site explorer won’t let me check some of my landing pages now (there seems to be some problem with checking EZA pages… because of the ? in the URL maybe?)
I also love how they list the information about the backlinks.

I’m having some issues with these tests because I used EZA as a lander for some and now I can’t seem to check backlinks on those landers anymore.
If I have to choose a winner based on the info I have so far, it’s gotta be UAW because it’s lander (an EZA…) is actually ranking nicely on Google for a semi-competitive KW phrase. I can’t give you any backlink numbers, because they’re not showing up.
I’m probably going to start fresh with a new test, making sure I can actually check the backlinks.

I should add that I actually already have a couple of tests like this running… I should have some more results to post here in the comments…

More good results from UAW… #6 on BING for it’s target KW and #7 for a closely related (and more searched) KW.
I’m very impressed by these results… more and more I’m thinking UAW is really the strongest article distributor… but I’ll need more results to be more confident of that.
