Article Marketing Test #2 - Update - 2.5 Months In
By MMJ admin on Jul 16, 2009 in Article Marketing
Here’s an update on my second article marketing test. This update is made 2.5 months into the experiment (as it was started on May 1st.) A different EZineArticles.com article is the landing page for each (except for Article Marketer who doesn’t allow links to EZA articles because they have a ? in them.)
Backlinks (external back links found in Yahoo Site Explorer)
***I’m Including EZA Article Views In Parenthesis***
Article Marketer = 11 (Don’t allow links to EZA)
ISnare = 41 (340 article views)
Unique Article Wizard = 33 (849 article views)
Article Marketing Automation = 11 (100 article views)
IS+UAW+AMA (combo attack) = 64 (2092 article views)
Well ISnare is quite impressive as far as back links. But. There’s a big but here. They have been extremely slow in distributing my articles and I’ve seen that many other people are having the same problem with them. They are great when the articles are actually accepted and distributed, but that can often take a long time to happen.
I’m somewhat disappointed with AMA & AM but 11 back links isn’t too bad for one article. You could make a strong argument that UAW is the real winner (other than using UAW in conjunction with AMA & IS too!) of this test because it’s brought in a lot of back links (33) and it doesn’t have the issue of slow distributions like ISnare does.
I wouldn’t put too much emphasis on the article views as there are so many factors that can influence that. I just wanted to include it as an example of the kind of traffic that may be generated by using these approaches.

I too had a good experience with isnare submission as far as links are concerned. However they take more than 15 days to get the articles approved which can be so frustrating.

Yeah… it can be frustrating but I try to look at it from the big picture… SEO tends to take time anyway… for real serious long term results, so that wait time with ISnare isn’t really that big of a deal if you’re looking for long term results (and you’re also using other services which don’t have such a long wait time.)

I must say that I stopped using Isnare last year…
I’m also having an experiment on my blog, I’m using AMA, UAW, AMA (now distributeyourarticles).
I do not expect that much traffic from these articles, but I aim for the backlinks.
I’d be glad to hear you on my blog.
All the best,
Franck
