Article Marketing Loop (New Article Marketing Test)

I would like people to promote my Clickbank Diet Product’s Affiliate Program with the article marketing distribution services that I know work from my own personal experience.
So what I’m trying to do is set up a “Step by Step” on article marketing in the affiliate area and then I’m also setting up pages for each of the article distribution services along with the article spinning software that I use.These pages are being put up just today (and probably won’t be finished as far as all of the content on them until at least the end of the week.) These are brand new pages that aren’t even indexed in the search engines.
The idea is that these pages (talking about how well each of the article distribution services work) will be sort of recursive in nature because any search engine rankings they get will be proof of that. That’s why I put “Loop” in the title.
And this post will be a way of following the progress of the process. Below I’m going to be linking to each of these five pages so you can see them for yourself. These pages will only be linked to via my article distribution submissions (other than the links on this very page of course) so any success they have as far as building up links and search engine rankings will be coming from the article distributions I make.
I’ll be adding a comment here each time I do a new submission. For each submission I write/spin an article in Magic Article Rewriter and then submit it via the four article distribution services. These articles will be linking back to the pages linked to below as well as to some other pages (I like to mix it up not only to appear more natural but to give myself more chances to get more pages ranking on the first page.)

not too surprisingly, I haven’t got too far on this yet, but hopefully I’ll get to it next week (I’ve got a lot of things on my table now…)
the good news is – I’m seeing some great results from my article distribution efforts — I’m feeling very confident about the strategy.

OK, I’ve managed to get up the landing pages! Now I just need to start up with the submissions.
I should also note that only about 1/3 of the links from the articles will be going to these landing pages because I’ve got other target landers for these keywords (mostly on this site actually) and I like to mix it up regardless…. I don’t think it’s a good idea to not spin destination URLs because if you don’t then all of the articles will be linking to the exact same URLs and that may look strange….

I just did my first submission for these pages (with all four of my article distribution services…) I’ll update here whenever I do another one and then update with the results of how it’s going… you can also check for yourself as you know what my target landing pages are.

I’ve still just done the one submission for this project due to many other things that have come up to take my attention elsewhere (particularly my computer breaking… which I’ve hopefully got fixed now.)
I’ve also signed up for one additional article marketing submission service that I’ll be writing about…
But even with just that one submission I’m already seeing some good results…

Finally sending out my second article for this today… I’m also using SEOLinkVine now: http://www.moneymakerjobs.com/seolinkvine/206/
But I do not have a landing page for this so it’s not a new target… I may make a landing page in the future for it if I find it’s effective (I’m still in the testing stage with… all of the others that I’ve made landing pages for I all know work.)

I’ve still only done those 2 submissions thus far. But this project is still on the back-burner – I’ll be continuing with it…
You can see using Yahoo Site Explorer that I’m showing a decent amount of external back links for these landers from these two submissions (and I’m linking to these pages in no other ways)

What’s up with the huge FTS #? I’m not sure exactly, but it looks like I’m getting a huge amount of links from one source… probably some kind of glitch.
How about what really matters… search engine rankings? Well… I’ll include them below (for the brand name search) but keep in mind there are a ton of variables to consider here… So these rankings don’t really tell us that much about the power of this system on their own. Still… they are “real world results” and that’s what everyone in the IM world is ultimately most interested in.

For some reason the AMA lander isn’t ranking… in fact I found the MAR lander ranking for Article Marketing Automation on the 25th page and that’s when I gave up looking for it.
Sometimes this happens and I’m not really sure why, but for some reason that particular lander is just not in Google’s good graces… It’d probably be a good idea to try to figure it out… but honestly sometimes I think it’s better to just throw up my hands and say “I don’t know what the hell the google gods are up to on this one… I’m just going to move on to the next thing..”
Perhaps someone reading this can take a look at that lander (the AMA lander) and tell me why it may not be ranking while the others are?

I should add that I think those are pretty darn good Google rankings for just 2 submissions…
Definitely worth doing more of these to see if I can really dominate…

There’s something I don’t think I’ve mentioned yet that I really should: Only about 20% (1/5th) of the outgoing links from these articles are actually going to these landers. This is because I’m also building links to lots of other landers… I like to mix up my destination URLs… I think it makes it look more natural and it allows me to get more landing pages in the search results!
The point is: I’m getting these results even though I’m only using about a fifth of the possible outgoing links for these landing pages.

Improvements on everything but AMA which is still just not showing any signs of life. I still haven’t rewritten the landing page, so maybe I should try that.
Most exciting are the jumps for ArticleRanks (from #6 to #2) and Unique Article Wizard (from #41 to #23.)
I’m planning on doing another article for this project soon (I may even get to it today.)

decent move up for MAR… tiny move up for FTS and drops of 1 for AR & UAW… not a whole lot of movement overall…
I actually did rewrite the AMA landing page to make sure that it wasn’t getting filtered for KW stuffing or anything (I never KW stuff on purpose, but it’s been known to happen by accident) but there’s still no sign of it.

This system appears to be working better on Bing/Yahoo than it is on Google.
Overall I’m very pleased with these results, the FTS page dropping is a slight concern, but really there are so many factors and possibilities, I think it’s a mistake to get overly concerned about one thing not working when the overall results are excellent.

Thanks Co de Naam — I think this one is interesting because it cuts to the heart of the matter: SERPS. That’s really what matters. The indexed articles are great… it gives the impression that something is happening – but with this test I can really see the “real world results.”

AMA’s drop out is a bit annoying. It was #10 last time. But I think that’s more than made up by how well the other four pages are doing. All in the top 10 and FTS went from not being in the top 30 (I was too lazy to check past the top 3 pages last time… so I don’t know how low it was) to #5
I still haven’t done anymore submissions for this project (7 articles have been sent out total.)
I really do need to get some more articles up for this project and see how high I can get with these landers.
Especially because this particular experiment is actually making me money too (People have been signing up to use these article submission services through my links… which is nice because it’s cool to make commissions on something you actually know works.)

These results do seem to indicate that article submissions are more powerful with Bing/Yahoo than with Google.
That said, they work with both.
I do think with this particular niche high rankings with Google are probably much more important.. I don’t think many people interested in article marketing use Bing/Yahoo.

The exciting thing here is Free Traffic System jumping from not even being in the top 100 (I don’t check past the first 10 pages, so I don’t know where it was) all the way up to #10. The bad news is UAW dropping from #23 to #37.

In negative news; it seems like all of the pages except for the ArticleRanks page have dropped out of the Yahoo results. I don’t know what’s up with that… at all. Something I’ll have to keep an eye on. It may just be a weird hiccup… I think it’s good not to overreact (if possible!)

still none of the others are in the top 100… not sure why. for some reason Bing/Yahoo seems to just not like those landers. this happens sometimes… I try not to let it drive me crazy because I think it’s better to just move attention towards things that are working rather than knocking one’s head against the wall about things that aren’t.
For this particular niche I don’t think it even really matters I’m sure almost all internet marketing type people use Google for their searches (not Bing/Yahoo … which I associate with computer illiterate types.)
I’m planning on getting out another article for this project next week (#11)
