Affiliate Earnings = Even Worse Than Last Month

If last month was frustrating then I don’t even know what word to use to describe this month. My earnings are slowing considerably and I’m on pace for my worst earning month in a very long time. In fact it may take some luck to even clear $2000 in profits this month! The first three months of the year I was over $4000 and just last October I made nearly $10,000. Ah internet marketing is not for the faint of heart! So yes I’m very very frustrated with the way things are going right now. Not only am I having trouble with my SEO lately (Google seems to hate me with a passion and I’m not sure why) but I’m also having a huge drop in conversions pretty much across the board with almost everything.

I don’t really get it. I appear to be sending pretty much the same quality/amount of traffic to some of my big earners but the results I’m getting from them have just dropped through the floor. I just cannot figure out why my conversions have dropped so much. It’s not just one thing either. It’s almost every thing I’m promoting. All of my conversions are dropping. Is the economy really this bad? I don’t think it’s that. Other people appear to be doing well. Is it just bad luck? I suppose that’s possible. But it feels like something else. I just don’t know what it is.

In more sunny news…

I am working hard on my first product as a Clickbank vendor/publisher. I am excited about the possibilities of it. I think it’s going to be a much higher quality product than most CB products in this niche (ie, it actually works) and no it’s not in the “make money online” niche! So I’m not trying to sell it to you. I may encourage you (any affiliate marketer reading this) to market it in the future but only once I make sure conversions are good which I know will take a lot of testing and tweaking.

I know that if this product lives up to the potential I envision for it - it could be a real game changer for me. But I also realize I will inevitably come across some real challenges with it. I cannot expect it to instantly start making me a fortune - I know it will take a lot of work and a lot of focus.

Another project…

I also have a second CB product in the works to follow up this first one. I think it has a lot of potential as well. But I’m trying to keep it out of my mind until the first project is finished and bringing in some money.
