Ad Network For SEO
By admin on Mar 14, 2008 in SEO
I’ve recently joined this Ad Network. This is an SEO technique that I’ve heard really good things about. I’ll certainly update you in the future letting you know how well it’s working.
Here’s some positives and negatives about it from my experience thus far:
POSITIVES
+ It’s free. This is a very big positive.
+ You do not have to link out on the sites that you are linking in to. This is important. You can use some sites as your link givers and other pages (your biggest money makers) as your link receivers.
+ Along with the SEO advantage of more link popularity, I’ve read reports that you can receive some decent incoming traffic from your links.
NEGATIVES
- The system is somewhat confusing at first. For example, I’m having a hard time figuring out what I should do about placing the link code on different sections of my websites. I have many sites that have multiple sections. For example a blogger powered blog, a wordpress powered blog, a phpBB forum, and a BANS store all on one domain. The system is unclear about how I go about putting the links on each of these sections. Do I have to create a new account for each section of my website? If so that’s a big flaw in my opinion. I’m still trying to get this cleared up.
- You have to create a separate account for each website you put links on.
- There doesn’t seem to be much activity in the forum for the ad network on DP.
- There’s been some reports of punishments from Google for using it. I think it’s important not to freak out about stuff like this though. There’s always a lot of rumors and they are often just that; rumors. I’ve seen strong evidence that this ad network does indeed work very well.
