$3465 July Profit

Ah, another month is past. I did better in July than I did in April, May, & June but I’m still far from where I want to be and still below the $4000+ I was making the first few months of the year and of course I’m far below the nearly $10,000 I made last September - but I don’t want to get into that disappointment again.

Well OK, maybe I’ll go into it a a little bit for anyone who has missed my earlier tales on this situation. Want to know what happened to all that money? Google dropped one of my sites (that was making about $7000+ of that money) from ranking #1 for it’s most important keyword to not even in the top 100. I still don’t know why they did that and I haven’t been able to get it to rank highly again no matter what I’ve tried. It does rank decently well in Yahoo & MSN and that site now brings in about $1000/month.

The biggest jump up has been from Clickbank  (which is now my #1 earner) although over the past couple of days I’ve started to have some trouble with them again. Still sending lots of traffic but you know how it is. So strange how the conversions just seem to drop through the floor every once in awhile with Clickbank. Hard not to get frustrated by that. In this case it’s both with my affiliate promotions and my publisher program.

Anyway, that’s a bit off course — Overall July was an improvement over June and that’s a good thing. Right now my publisher product on CB isn’t really profitable for me because I’ve spent so much money on advertising etc (a lot of that advertising has been a total waste of money with no ROI at all.) Remember I’m talking about profits here so I have to subtract all expenses.

Anyway my total profit for the month was $3465. Definitely enough to live on for me (as I do not live an extravagant lifestyle and have absolutely zero interest in things like fancy cars) but still not as well as I’d like to be doing. My main reasons for wanting to make a larger amount of money are travel and financial security.

I was hoping to be doing a lot better by now. I’m still having some trouble focusing — I really think my CB product could be my ticket to serious money and I’m trying to focus almost all of my energy on that now but there have been a lot of roadblocks that have come up to slow me down.  And I still have a bad habit of getting distracted by other things.
